Best Practices in Primary Care 2022 Live Stream – Hilton Head Island

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Primary care clinicians are most often the entryway to patients for their healthcare. During this three-day live stream of PCN Destinations: Niagara Falls, we will examine various conditions often seen in everyday practice with the goal of learning new strategies for diagnosing and treating patients. This program will provide opportunities for interaction with the faculty, get answers to your burning questions, and learn ‘best practices’ tools and techniques to help you better treat your patients.

• Review the latest medical research and updated guidelines and apply to clinical practice

ACCREDITATION

Physicians

Primary Care Network is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Primary Care Network designates this live activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 12.0 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Physician Associates/Physician Assistants

PAs may claim a maximum of 12 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

Nurse Practitioners/Nurses

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

All other healthcare professionals will receive a certificate of participation.

LINDA M. BOLLING DAVIS, MD

Dr. Davis is a board-certified family practitioner with special interests in women and adolescent healthcare, obesity management and migraine headaches. In recent years the concerns over the growing obesity epidemic has sparked a stronger focus on diet, exercise, and overall physical and psychological well-being. Through education and a close doctor to patient partnership she works with her patients to prevent complications often resulting from obesity including: diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension.

Dr. Davis is a Southern California native who graduated cum laude in biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles, attended Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

MITZI RUBIN, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Mitzi Rubin received her undergraduate degree in nutrition science from the University of Georgia. She then completed her Doctorate of Medicine from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School and completed her residency in family and preventative medicine from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Rubin has remained actively involved with Emory School of Medicine as a primary care clerkship preceptor teaching medical students, as well as an active member of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, where she has held past leadership positions including President and Board Chairman. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has earned the degree of fellow by the American Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, she is a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity. Dr. Rubin practices both family medicine as well as obesity medicine will Wellstar Health System in Atlanta, GA. She is passionate about partnering with her patients so they can live a life of optimal health.

Once your registration is approved, you will receive an email confirmation of your registration. Closer to the meeting date, you will receive a separate email containing login instructions. You will also receive reminder emails the day before and again on the morning of the event, which will provide all of the connection details for logging into the live stream.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

• If you cancel your registration on or before September 5, 2022, you will receive a full refund of the tuition you paid, less a $50 administrative fee.
• No refunds will be made for cancellations received on September 6, 2022 or later. 
• Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment. Please allow two weeks for processing. If you have questions regarding your cancellation or refund, please call 417-877-6668 for assistance.
• PCN has the right to change and/or cancel a program, content, or speakers for any reason.
• In the very unlikely event the live stream is canceled by PCN, you will receive a full refund of the tuition paid.
